Waitemata Hunt opened last weekend to glorious weather and a solid turnout. Master Lyn Skilling led the field over a beautiful property at Helensville, and riders enjoyed a great day out thanks to the skills of Huntsman Nigel Tracey and his pack.
It’s just the start of the New Zealand hunt season in, which brings people of all ages out in a wonderful spirit of camaraderie to enjoy riding over beautiful farmland – thanks to the generosity of some amazing landowners. The age-old sport is packed with tradition, but the spirit of horsemanship and friendship is timeless.
