It was a case of smiles all around as Maramarua Hunt opened their 2016 season on March 19 in perfect conditions.
There was a great turnout for the annual hound auction to kick off the day’s proceedings, and after the midday ride out a number of Hunt supporters, landowners and guests were hosted by committee members at a terrific vantage point high on the rolling hills overlooking the countryside to enjoy the action.
The Hunt was lead out by Master Bryden Smyllie, assisted by deputy masters Bruce Stuart and Bob Cockburn, and the pack was under the guidance of Huntsman Phil Havord.
