
Solway College’s third annual Inter-School Dressage Event was a big success, with some great weather and record entries across the board.
There were riders as young as five years old on the lead rein, right through to Year 13 students producing some very polished work.

The main results were:
Junior Teams – division A
1st: JSL (composite) team, 416.33 points (also 2nd overall in the junior teams). JSL also won the Teams Presentation class
2nd: Marsden Green, 404.33 points (also 3rd overall in the Junior Teams)
3rd: Te Horo II, 362.66
4th: Hadlow Sapphires, 345.00

Junior Teams – division B
1st: Te Horo Reds, 436.66 points (All 1st overall in the Junior teams)
2nd: Marsden Blue, 40.300 points (and 4th overall in the junior teams competition)
3rd: Chilton II, 395.66 points
4th: St. Matthew’s Stars, 379.50 points

Senior Teams – division A
1st: Marsden Majors 421.7 points (and 2nd place in the senior teams competition)
2nd: Heretaunga Phoenix, 416.47 points (and 4th overall in the Senior teams)
3rd: Solway College Green, 415.29 points
4th: Sacred Hearts College with 404.11 points

Senior Teams, division B
1st: Marsden Magic, 424.7 points
2nd: Kapiti College, 418.52 points
3rd: Paraparaumu College, 416.47 points
4th: Wellington Girls College Black, 414.41 points
As well as the teams’ competitions, there were the individual ones for those representing smaller schools, or who are home schooled.

1st: Ruby Liardet, Goodview the Whistleblower, 146 points
2nd: Josh Wikaira, Glenwood Grandeur, 128 points
3rd: Kingsley Palmer, Indianna Jive, 127 points
4th: Pia White, Nanteo Autumn Cascade, 120 points

Senior individual results
1st: Lily Jefferies, Primo Magneto, 155.29 points
2nd: Melissa Wall, Red Legacy, 145.29 points
3rd: Grace Gray, Moves Like Jagger II, 127.06 points
4th: Morgan Kibblewhite, Crusader, 123.53 points

Sofia Letteri was the Senior and Overall High-Scoring Rider achieving an impressive 160.3 points, while Ruby Liardet was the Junior High Scoring Rider with 146 points.
The highest Wairarapa score went to Maddie Murrell with 150.0 points
