Simone Blum goes into the final in the lead after having a faultless performance so far

What a first round we witnessed today at the World Equestrian Games! Some fantastic jumping over a very difficult course.

Chardonnay and Max Kuhner from Austria are into the final in second place at the moment
Frenchman Alexis Deroubaix and Timon D’Arure are into the final
Martin Fuchs from Switzerland is in third place at the moment on the gorgeous Clooney
Lorenzo De Luca and Irenice Horta will be coming out to jump again this afternoon
McLain Ward had four faults with Clinta but is into the final
Fredrik Johnsson and Cold Play jumped into the final too
Steve Gerdaut had a faultless round on Bianca
Rowan Willis from Australia is into the top 12 with his mare Blue Movie

The Swiss had plenty to celebrate with two riders into the final 12
