Busy day for Bangor Pony Club

What fun the riders, horses and ponies had at the Bangor Pony Club show in Canterbury.

img_9755_watermarkedThe Bangor Pony Club hosted the Christchurch Pony Club Show at the Courtenay A&P Showgrounds, in Kirwee, Canterbury.  There were over 200 ponies and horses entered, so it was a busy day.

Competitors had a lot of fun, and there was a great crowd to see the action. The show was strictly “no plaiting” and the judges did a great job of not only deciding who the winners were, but helping some competitors when they got a bit “stuck” in the jumping.

There was good sponsorship support from locals as well as national organisations, and the local school provided the catering.

We unfortunately missed the Fancy Dress competition, but heard it was pretty spectacular. Here’s our gallery of some of the action we photographed on the day. There are also others on our Facebook page and they will be (soon) loaded on to Jane’s photography website.
