World Breeding Eventing Championship

A lovely event in France for the young horses!

Mondial du Lion, the FEI World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses, is a lovely event in France for six- and seven-year-olds. It has been well supported by New Zealand riders who enjoy the beautiful course and French hospitality, and this year is no different.

Making the trip this year are Jonelle and Tim Price, as well as Jesse Campbell and Dan Jocelyn.  Dan has Blackthorn Cruise in the seven-year-old class (2* level) with Fjury in the class for six-year-olds (1* level).

Tim and Jonelle are only competing with seven-year-olds: Tim with Kincooley Cruising and Jonelle with Cooley Showtime and Obos Impressive. Jesse has Fado in the six-year-olds.

This is also Libby Law’s last event before she heads back “down-under” and she has sent through these lovely photos of the trot-up.
