The Dunstan Rotorua Spring Show was held at Taupo and yes, it was another wet equestrian event in the northern part of the country. Hopefully that weather will improve soon!

Emily Hayward-Morgan and AP Ninja had a good win in the ESNZ Dunstan Horse Grand Prix (1.40-1.50). Emily was one of the seven clear rounds and recorded another clear in the jump-off in a time of 40.55 to head off Lucy Olphert on Connoisseur on 41.54. Samantha Morrison was also clear but with a slower time of 45.77 for third.

Emily also had a win in the Peppers On the Point Horse 1.30m Championship on Yandoo Lady Gold.

The Equissage Pony Grand Prix was won by Fun House, ridden by Emma Watson. There were eight clear in the first round, and the jump-off was very tight with another four going clear. Emma had a very narrow win, recording a time of 35.36, just fractionally faster than Olivia Ahlborn on Aorangi Ragtime who came home in 35.82. Ruby Mason was third on Mr Acho. Olivia also recorded a win in the Horse 1.05m TAM5 on Kaipara Epic.

There were not huge entries in the five- and six-year-old series. Melody Matheson on Elton MH won the East Coast Performance Horses Five-Year-Old (1.10m), recording the only clear round. Melody also won the the Cortaflex Seven-Year-Old with Graffiti MH, going into a jump-off against Emily Hayward-Morgan (Belischi MH) and Mikayla Herbert (Grand Caballo), who finished second and third respectively.
