Over the 2016 Farmlands Horse of the Year Show (including in the lead-up and the trip home), we held a photography competition on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. We asked people to take a photo of the fun they were having at HOY – the only two criteria were that it had to have an equestrian theme and be taken either on the road to or from HOY or at the show.
We had some great entries, and the winner was decided by a Facebook poll where readers were asked to rank the photos.
Their number-one choice was the shot of Ellena Caudwell plaiting up Zabu as he lay dozing. Ellena wins a year’s subscription to our print and digital magazine.
