More dressage titles were decided today at the Land Rover Horse of the Year Show, with Tessa van Bruggen taking out the hotly-contested Advanced Medium musical freestyle on her family-bred nine-year-old mare Fiorenza (Furst Jupp/Littana), on 73.156%. Following in her mum Wendi’s footsteps, 17-year-old Rebecca Williamson on seven-year-old Don Tobio was second on 72.233%, and Vanessa Way was third on NRM Timbermill Prequel, on 72.111%.
Amanda Berridge and GS O Jay took out the Medium crown after a win in the 4C title class on 70.86%. Lucy Cochrane and Gymanji were second on 69.14%, and Nicky Daulton third on HPH Phelix Phelicious.
Wendi Williamson and Don Vito MH won the Advanced 6C title class on 70.641%, pinning Lorraine Ward-Smith and Fernlea Diamond Day into second place, on 68.333%.
In the FEI Small Tour Prix St Georges, it was a strong performance from Gaylene Lennard and her starry Jax Johnson, first with three of the five judges for an average score of 69.971%. Chelsea Callaghan was second on the Friesian-cross mare, Sisters II Etta J, on 67.5%, and Christine Weal a very close third scoring 67.412% on Schindlers Liszt.
Matthews Hanoverian horses were to the fore in the Elementary horse musical freestyle title class, with Molly Lumb and Grffindor MH first on 76.233%, Cindy White second on Santana MH on 74.617%, and Reece Downham third on Georgia MH with 73.433%.
