It was a hot weekend for the Hunua Pony Club’s horse trial, which was held on the Massey family farm, with a course designed and built by Tich, and Angela Lloyd acting as secretary and chief organiser. The heat was such that organisers made the popular decision to let riders compete without jackets in the dressage phase.
It was a friendly and fun weekend of eventing, and the organising committee and great team of volunteers deserve a big thank you from competitors!
The Hunua club has been working hard to replace all the jump poles and other equipment that was washed away during the March 2017 floods, and was raising more money by providing food and drinks (including some great home baking made by the “talented housewives of Ararimu”) at the venue. Let’s hope they raised plenty of money!
