Sir Mark Todd has produced a lovely test to be in fourth place at the conclusion of the dressage phase at Boekelo. Scoring 42.3, he is not far behind the leader, Isabella Innes Ker who rode on the first day.
USA’s Lauren Kieffer is second on 42.1 with Australian Paul Tapner third on 42.2, so there is nothing in it.
Another in a strong position going into cross-country is Ollie Townend, who is eighth and ninth on MHS King Joules (44.1) and Cooley SRS (45.2).
After a good score from Emma Dougall on Fernhill Tabasco, who moved into fifth spot with 42.6, just in front of team mate Sam Griffiths, Australia leads the team competition on 128.4. Germany is second on 135.5, Great Britain third on 139 with New Zealand fourth on 139.2.
Other results for New Zealanders at the conclusion of dressage are:
Blyth Tait on Xanthus, 19th, 47.7
Jesse Campbell on Amsterdam 21, 25th, 49.2
Daniel Jocelyn on Beaucatcher, 61st, 57.2
Megan Heath on Camelot, 78th, 61.6
Blyth Tait on Leo Distinction, 90th, 65.3
The cross-country is on tomorrow, and is being advertised on the Military Boekelo website as being available on livestream.
