US Olympic show jumping shortlist named

A strong list of contenders for the American showjumping team.

The US Olympic show jumping shortlist has been named and of course one of our favourites, Beezie Madden is on it.  Actually, she isn’t just on it, she is on it with three horses! So surely it now comes down to a question of WHICH horse she will take to the Olympics? 

The full list, in alphabetical order, is:
 

Lucy Davis (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Old Oak Farm’s Barron, a 2004 Belgian Warmblood gelding

Margie Engle (Wellington, Fla.) and Elm Rock Partners, LLC’s Royce, a 2004 Oldenburg stallion

The final team will be named in early July. Events selectors will be watching these horses compete at:
  • CSIO5* La Baule (France), May 12-15,
  • CSIO5* Rome (Italy), May 26-29,
  • CSIO5* St. Gallen (Switzerland), June 2-5,
  • CSIO5* Rotterdam (Netherlands), June 22-26.
