Winners at Wairoa

Wairoa A & P Show is your classic country show, with all ages competing.

Tess Clarke took the win in the Wairoa leg of the Bayleys Real Estate Grand Prix Series riding Sinatra II, beating Claire Wilson on her reliable McMillans Tipsey. Canterbury’s Annabel Frances and Glenara Vintage Rose were third.

Simon Wilson was the only one to jump clear in both rounds, but didn’t hurry, incurring time faults to finish in fourth place.  Daniel Blundell and Lavello were fifth with Logan Massie on Larinium LS sixth.

Annabel Francis had a good show, as she also won the FMG Young Rider Series 1.25-1.35 on Glenara Vintage Rose and also competed in the Equissage Pony Grand Prix, winning that class on Te Mata Miss.

Olivia Ahlborn was second on Aorangi Ragtime with Phoebe Burns on Galaxy Masterpiece third. Crystal Hacket was fourth on IamwhatIam and sixth on Cracklin Rose, Deanna Horsburg on Showtym Endeavour separating her in fifth place.

No Wairoa show would be complete without Merran Hain winning a ribbon and this year she rode Untouchable to victory in the Caledonian Holdings Amateur class. Samantha Matthews from Cambridge on Cross My Heart was second, Rachel Martin on Finesse third.
